JT THORPE self-performs all aspects of installation including the

removal of existing fireproofing, surface prep, containment scaffolding, painting, application via spray or trowel, QC, safety and tracking. JT THORPE quickly mobilizes to module yards or any industrial job site in the United States. JT THORPE field applied fireproofing systems will provide pool fire, jet fire and/or cryogenic spill protection.

Field Fireproofing Project Sizes

JT THORPE performs both maintenance and capital fireproofing projects across the United States. Our crew sizes vary from 2 to 300 employees with projects durations ranging from one week to multiple years for mega projects. We have the largest pool of qualified applicators and maintain an industry leading training database.

Field Fireproofing – Field Joints

JT THORPE completes field “tie-ins” for structural steel on projects of all sizes. We perform all aspects of industrial and commercial fireproofing including: surface preparation, anchoring, mesh, application of fireproofing and seal coat/topcoat. Our state-of-the-art online tracking database provides a transparent look into the progress and quality control status of your project. JT THORPE performs field joint fireproofing for upgrades to existing facilities, capital construction and at module yards.

Field Fireproofing – Module Yard Work

JT THORPE performs fireproofing at module yards across the United States. The fireproofing is installed in a number of methods.

  • Installation of fireproofing on stick steel at JT THORPE shop followed by completion of fireproofing field joints (tie-ins) in the module yard
  • All work completed at module yard including installation of fireproofing on stick steel at grade followed by completion of fireproofing field joints (tie-ins)
  • Installation of fireproofing field joints (tie-ins) in the module yard

Environmental protection can be provided to ensure schedule and quality is maintained, regardless of the location or time of year.
